A clear seal strip that clips onto the bottom edge of a shower screen and keeps water inside the enclosure instead of running out across the bathroom floor. It is the strip that goes hard and cracked over time on most showers, and replacing it takes a couple of minutes.

  • Two 50 cm strips per pack — 100 cm in total, enough for a standard screen or door.
  • Cut to length. Trim with scissors or a craft knife for an exact fit.
  • Clips on, no tools or adhesive. The rigid channel grips the glass and the soft fin sweeps along the tray.
  • Clear PVC. It disappears against the glass rather than drawing the eye.
  • Four glass thicknesses. Choose 6, 8, 10 or 12 mm to match your screen.

Measure before you order

This is the one thing worth getting right. Measure the thickness of the glass with a ruler or calipers at the edge of the panel, and pick the matching option. A strip made for 6 mm glass will not clip onto an 8 mm panel, and one made for thicker glass will slide off. If you are between sizes, measure again rather than guessing.

Fitting it

  1. Remove the old strip, if there is one, and dry the glass edge.
  2. Measure the width of your screen and cut the strip to length.
  3. Slide the channel onto the bottom edge of the glass and press along its length.
  4. Check that the soft fin touches the tray or floor evenly along the whole run.

Realistic expectations

A seal strip reduces the water that escapes under a shower screen. How well it works depends on the gap between the glass and the tray, and on how level the floor is. It is a good fix for splashing and drips; it is not a cure for a badly fitted enclosure or a cracked tray.

FAQ

How long does delivery take?
Orders are delivered in 4-7 working days, with free UK shipping included.

How do I know which thickness I need?
Measure the glass itself at the edge of the panel. Most domestic shower screens are 6 mm or 8 mm.

How much do I get?
Two strips of 50 cm, so 100 cm in total.

Can I cut it down?
Yes. Measure your screen and trim the strip to length before fitting.

Does it need glue?
No. It clips onto the glass edge and holds by grip alone.
